The 4 mile hike starts with a Ute <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">petroglyph</span> panel (very cool!) and then the trail becomes a steep ascent to Delicate Arch. We were mostly hiking up <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">slickrock</span> and following cairns along the way. We spotted some rafters-which brought back memories of our big Colorado River trip last summer!! This state is just so majestic and truly one of my favorite places. Abrahm and I shared a pulled pork sandwich at Pappy's Smokehouse. DELISH!! Green beans were amazing. They serve the pork dry and have three different sauces for you to schlop on however you wish! Thought of my buddy Walter....wish he was with me to share in the BBQ bliss. Afterwards, we had to save room for a frozen custard from the famous Ted Drewes. Though I could only handle one spoonful of the Dutchman (vanilla with butterscotch, pecans, and chocolate), it was delicious and extremely decadent!! Not only was it Wednesday Bike Night (with hundreds of bikes AND bikers lining the streets) but it is....Elvis Week!!!! Facinating! They had an extensive exhibit following the life of the iconic Hank Williams, his wife Audrey and the Williams generations that have thus followed. What an incredible story of love, heartache and tragedy...I was obsessed.
